Mexico Tourist Card & Cancun Airport Entry Information
Traveling to Cancun, Mexico? Entry procedures have changed in recent years, and travelers arriving by air generally no longer need to complete the traditional paper Forma Migratoria Múltiple (FMM), commonly known as the Mexico Tourist Card.
For international air arrivals, Mexico's Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) processes immigration information electronically. Travelers should present a valid passport and any visa or other entry documentation required for their nationality. The immigration officer determines the authorized period of stay in Mexico.
Do I need a Tourist Card when flying to Cancun?
Travelers entering Mexico by air do not need to complete or carry the traditional paper FMM. The immigration process is handled upon arrival at the international airport.
Digital FMM (FMMd)
Foreign visitors entering Mexico by air may access their Digital Multiple Immigration Form (FMMd) after entering Mexico. The digital document can be downloaded during the period of stay authorized by the immigration officer.
Arriving at Cancun International Airport
After landing in Cancun, international travelers normally proceed through immigration, collect their luggage and complete the applicable customs procedures before exiting the terminal.
